House with Stunning Views
This house is great with stunning views across Freshwater East from the lounge / kitchen. It is really well set up with nice homely touches. The house is in a lovely quiet location and in a great area for exploring Pembrokeshire with some beautiful beaches within a few miles. Tara is an excellent host and worked hard to make sure the stay was exactly as promised.
Great Place to Stay
Great place to stay. Amazing access to beach and local walks etc. We would definitely return.
Absolutely Fantastic
This house is absolutely fantastic! Both the location with the beautiful view and lots of beautiful places to visit nearby and the house itself which has a very good cosy atmosphere. We felt at home immediately. Our young (1 and 3 year old) kids loved it as well. It is great that the path next to the house takes you right to the beautiful freshwater east beach.
"Wow" Views
We had the most amazing May bank holiday weekend at Greenshutters. I've spent a lot of time in Wales over the years but this area was new to me (as was the freakishly good weather!). The house itself is a stylish combination of contemporary simplicity with touches of vintage character. Because the house sits so discreetly into the hillside you could easily believe it was just another beach shack (albeit a very stylish one). It was a lovely surprise therefore to open the door and discover a large, light, open space straight out of an interiors magazine. And the view from the balcony - one word - WOW! We went with another family (so three kids in total and four adults) - we all had oodles of space to roam inside and out. It's a fab area with great beaches and not too busy. Highly recommend.
Gorgeous House
It was a gorgeous house with the most tremendous view and all four of us had the most memorable time. The house was well laid out with everything in the kitchen you needed. The walk down to the beach was delightful and Tara's notes were informative and helpful. We will definitely be returning next year!
Great Location
The Beach House is lovely, in a great location, we could walk to the beach or take a short drive to Tenby, great location for our visit for the Ironman 2015. The Beach House is spacious, light, very nicely furnished, the kitchen is well equipped for self catering, and the views from the living area just encourage you to spend time at the property. Tara made our booking very easy with accurate information about the property, and for the surrounding area. Everyone we met in the area were very friendly. We only had a long weekend unfortunately but look forward to returning to the area to explore further and stay at the Beach House if Tara will have us back.
Absolutely beautiful inside and out

Beautiful spacious , open plan house overlooking the ocean
Lovely house with plenty of space to comfortably spend time with loved ones . We liked the open plan design on the house that looks out on to the sea . We loved the whole area , being close to Pembroke and Stackpole ,and Tenby , and stunning beaches like freshwater east and west .
“Stunning location, views and home ........”
We've just arrived home from Green Shutters in Freshwater East, so pleased I found it... the house is very tastefully furnished and decorated, with stunning open views from the living area and main bedroom. Very clean and well equipped too, with lots of information about the local area. We spent our time walking beaches and the coastal path which revealed stunning views and places of interest at every turn, and the path was on the doorstep of the property. Tara was a great host, and maintained good contact with us, ensuring our stay was enjoyed. I have one complaint - the week went far too quickly, and we could certainly have stayed on for longer. Would we go back - yes, most definitely - it really is a little gem. We also found the complete lack of wi-fi and phone signal a blessing in disguise, enabling us to switch off completely. We loved this place ....... Thank you for having us.
“What a fabulous holiday home....”
Everything we liked in a holiday home - light, well-laid out and with great views from the living area, balcony deck and master bedroom. The house is decorated very tastefully with everything you need to be comfortable. Even on the two wet and windy days during our week it was a pleasure just to sit and read or play board games whilst watching the changing weather outside. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped and the fittings throughout the house are very high quality. The lovely Freshwater East beach is only a short walk away on pretty paths (dog friendly all year) and a surfing beach was a very short drive in the other direction. We'd definitely go back and stay again.
"Beautiful eco house in idyllic coastal location with panoramic views"
Just spent a wonderful long weekend in this beautiful house. The house provides an idyllic retreat with spectacular views of the Pembrokeshire coast. On arrival the exterior of the house from the driveway appeared modest but as soon as we stepped through the door and into the light filled living area we realised what a perfect place this is. The beautiful oak floors and white walls create a sense of calmness and serenity. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished in a natural style that perfectly compliments the AMAZING panoramic views of the sea. Spacious accommodation, crisp white linen, large leather sofa and a wood burning stove all added to the comfort of our stay. On Saturday we walked west from the house along the coastal trail to Barafundle - about 8 km - truly one of the most amazing walks I have ever done! On the way back we stopped off at the Boathouse Tea Room at Stackpole Quay for a bowl of homemade soup. On Sunday we explored the magical hidden caves and rock pools that provide a stunning backdrop to the huge sandy beach that lies directly below the house before making our way back through the dunes and wooded daffodil filled copses that separate the village from the sea. Hidden in one of the wooded areas we found a great climbing play area complete with scramble nets and tyre swing, which would have been ideal if we had bought the children. The house has a fully equipped kitchen with the added bonus of a dishwasher but on Friday night we decided to have a night off from cooking and booked a table at nearby Stackpole Inn for supper. The food was brilliant: great, homemade, local produce and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend the rib of beef for two (although it would easily feed 3!) We returned to Green Shutters wrapped ourselves up in blankets and sat out on the decked balcony drinking rum and watching the stars. Just perfect. The one downside to the house is that I didn't want to leave. Will definitely return only this time for longer. Would highly recommend a stay at Green Shutters to everyone!
"Beautifully designed, eco-friendly beach house with stunning views"
We spent a wonderful week at Green Shutters. The house is bright and modern, beautifully furnished with wonderful views. There's so much to do nearby - great beaches, lovely walks and nice pub lunches. We spent a week in early summer - and are looking forward to going back in the winter.
“An impecable house with heart in it”
We are a family of three spent unforgettable holidays in the Green Shatters, a newly built very stylish and cosy chalet in a preservation area overlooking the sea. We were impressed with how comfortable the chalet was in which its owners put their hearts. This was one of few places where I could enjoy deep sleep thanks to fresh air, quietness and because I could hear the sea at night, which was so relaxing. Our trip from London on a Friday afternoon took quite some time. However, it was worth it. We are looking forward come again soon.
"A heavenly abode to retreat, relax & rejuvinate"
Green Shutters has been built with every detail considered, much love & dedication has been invested here, enviromentally pleasing, aesthetically divine & a pleasure to spend time in any of the seasons that Wales offers, cosy in the winter & perfect for the micro warm climate that summer can bring over Fresh Water East, a gentle walk down through forrests to the pristine beach, clear waters & where children can be immersed for hours between wave & rock, climbing, exploring & creating adventure.
“A truly beautiful place to stay in a magnificent...”
We were bowled over by this luxurious, modern home with so many gorgeous features. The interior is truly stunning and it is located right by Freshwater East beach, by far our favourite beach in Wales. We have already booked our next holiday here! Can't wait
“Stylish, stunning, comfortable - great location”
Newly built and stylishly decorated. Great position at top of cliff overlooking the wonderful and mainly deserted Freshwater East beach. Great part of the world - like Cornwall without the crowds. Lots of fun things to do in the area for adults and kids.
